New A/B Test for Your Vote: Where To Put “Download” in an Email Subject Line

Ever wonder the best way to let opt-ins know about a download link or offer in an email? Internet marketing expert Andy Jenkins decided to test placing the word “Download” before and after the main subject line of one of his blog’s email newsletters.

The results are fascinating — but you’ll have to vote to find out which placement got higher open rates and clickthroughs.

Note: This test doesn’t only apply to download links. It could apply to any marketer wanting to let opt-ins know about special offers or contents in an email.
